The Oppo Find X and its pop-up selfie camera was one of 2019’s most welcome surprises.
Now, Oppo is gearing up to take the stage at MWC 2020 with a successor to the Find X (pictured above) and what we know so far looks promising indeed!
Oppo Find X2 and its bigger brother, the Oppo Find X2 Pro, just popped up on the Thai NBTC certification board and were spotted by MySmartPrice.
The listings reveal no specs but Brian Shen, Oppo’s VP and also the president of marketing, started drumming up enthusiasm on social media.
A week or so ago, he took to Twitter to say that he tried the Oppo Find X2 and that the screen is “second to none”.
Yesterday, he said on Weibo that “2K and 120Hz go along with 65W SuperVOOC” and what he’s teasing is definitely the Oppo Find X2.
Well, it’s either that or there’s a bigger surprise waiting for us at the end of February at MWC, so stay tuned for more!
Considering the Poco X2 is also showing up at MWC with an 120GHz screen, it’s safe to consider this Oppo Find X spec confirmed.
The 2K display probably means an 1440p QHD resolution and 65W SuperVOOC is a technology we already have in one smartphone: the Oppo Reno Ace.
Brian Shen also asked his Twitter followers what they think about using ceramic instead of Gorilla Glass, saying that ceramic backs can “feel more premium” and have “extra durability” as well.
Until February 24th, when MWC 2020 kicks off in Barcelona, it’s safe to expect Oppo to steadily trickle more details about the Find X2.
