Earlier today, The Pokémon Company released a new video with more information on the second part of the DLC part, The Crown Tundra.

The Crown Tundra

The Crown Tundra DLC takes Pokémon trainers to a new area within the Galar region. Centered around expeditions of the raid dens, trainers will be able to team up with other players to find new dynamax Pokémon.

Although some Pokémon from older generations will make their first appearance to Galar, it perhaps is most exciting that all legendary Pokémon from previous mainline games will be able to be caught through these raid den journeys. However, some of these legendary Pokémon will be version exclusive.

After the expedition of The Crown Tundra, the Galarian Star Tournament will be available. This tournament will have you teaming up with trainers from across the Galar region to participate in this special double-battle tournaments. Players can choose to team up with any of the gym leaders, rivals, or even the former champion. These NPCs will also be paired up with each other, adding new characterization and battle mechanics not yet seen within a Pokémon game.

Additionally, special Pikachu will be distributed as a special promotion for the DLC. Each Pikachu hat is based on one of Ash Ketchum’s hats from the Pokémon Series. More information about this promotion can be found here.

The Crown Tundra DLC will release on October 22nd, with a physical version of the game including all DLC releasing on November 6th.

Pokémon Home

In addition to The Crown Tundra DLC news, the Pokémon Company announced more information on their Pokémon storage platform Pokémon Home. Coming by the end of the year, Pokémon Go and Pokémon Home will be integrated. However, it will be a one way transfer, from Pokémon Go to Pokémon Home and not the other way around.

By transferring Pokémon from Pokémon Go through to Pokémon Sword and Shield, players will get access to special fights in both games. In Pokémon Go, a Meltan will appear in your vicinity. In Pokémon Sword and Shield, you will receive a special Gigantamax Melmetal.

The video presentation ended with a new music video celebrating the history of Pokémon.
