For content creators, DMCA takedowns are a serious threat to end a stream or reduce revenue sources. Riot Games, developers of League of Legends, is looking to help creators in this regard.
According to Engadget, Riot Games has released an album that content creators can use without fear of DMCA takedowns. In fact, it appears that Riot released this albums specifically because of the recent flurry of copyright-claims on the site, potentially leading banning from platforms.
The album, titled Session: Vi, is a “37-track album of instrumental beats with contributions from artists like Chromonicci and Junior State.”
Riot Games is no stranger to music. Recently, they made a virtual K-pop group K/DA in collaboration with American and K-Pop singers.
Session: Vi is available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.
