Although the Samsung Galaxy S22 series could be postponed for a few weeks due to production problems, the launch date for the devices is fast approaching. For this reason, rumors and leaks on these upcoming smartphones have increased almost in recent weeks, especially thanks to live photos and renders of the Galaxy S22 series devices.
Recently in fact, a British manufacturer of smartphone accessories has accidentally published the photographs of some Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra dummies. The dummy models are devices created by smartphone manufacturers and shipped to retailers that sell accessories and cases, in order to give them an idea of the design of their upcoming devices. This allows them to prepare the products in time for the launch of the device.
As you can imagine, these devices don’t feature any internal components, so, unfortunately, the published images can’t confirm or deny any of the rumors about the spec sheets. However, they do confirm the screen sizes of the Galaxy S22 series.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 will measure 6.06 inches, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will be 6.55 inches, while the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will go all the way up to 6.80 inches.
The photos also confirm that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s S Pen will have a its own designated slot, thus confirming a leak on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra from several weeks ago.
The dummy design of the S22 Ultra also shows how the phone is very similar to the Galaxy Note series, whose main features have, in fact, been inherited from the top of the range of the Korean giant. In addition to that, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is visibly larger than the S21 Ultra.
It also has a substantial design difference, because it does not have the raised island that we have seen in its predecessor and the rest of the S22 series: this could allow the insertion of a larger battery or that of a larger than expected display.
An S22 Ultra promotional poster was also leaked online recently, which further confirmed the presence of the S Pen, which you can see below.
Samsung has also confirmed that the Exynos 2200 chipset will be unveiled shortly and that it will be featured on the S22 series. In all likelihood, this chipset will make an appearance during CES 2022 (that is, if Samsung decides to participate), or shortly after.
The company also mentioned that the chipset will come as a little gift for the Samsung fans who are into gaming, so we will see a lot of new gaming-oriented features on it, as well as improved camera ones.
