Ready to spend some pretty bucks on new sneakers? Adidas and Star Wars are coming with a special collection this fall, just a couple of weeks before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker debuts in movie theaters.
Adidas is hoping to get Star Wars fans excited this holiday season with not one, but six new pair of kicks, all from the basketball line. You’ll notice that some of them are signature models of NBA superstars while others are some good ol’ classics.
However, there’s nothing boring about them. Each model was designed with a Star Wars symbol in mind. The half-white, half-red shoe below is an ode to both sides of the Force.
Look closely on the white side of the shoe and you’ll see C-3PO and R2-D2. Switch to the other side, and you’ll surely grin at the sight of not just Rylo and mandalorians, but Darth Vader, the ultimate Sith Lord.
These are my favorites by far, however if you want something more subtle – at least in symbolism, if not in color – you can choose kicks inspired by lightsabers.
This purple and gold model will surely remind you of Mace Windu’s Jedi weapon from the prequels. All the gold comes from the details found on the hilt of the lightsaber.
This November 1st, the kicks go on sale so look out for the following models on Adidas’ shop: Dame 5, Harden Vol. 4, D Rose 10, D.O.N. Issue 1, Crazy 1, and Pro Next 2019.
