Just when the hype reached critical levels in the gaming community, the Asus X NOCTUA RTX 3070 was finally pictured.
A collaboration between Asus ROG and Noctua, arguably the most high-end cooler makers, the Asus x NOCTUA RTX 3070 borrows the cult classic color scheme from Noctua fans.
While no specs were provided along with the renders, the product code RTX3070-O8G-NOCTUA indicates that the card is factory overclocked. It uses a 3.5-slot design with three DisplayPorts and 2 HDMI and is equipped with dual 8-pin power connectors.
Considering the serious graphics card shortage, the Geforce ROX 3070 OC Noctua will probably be difficult to find, especially at the $1137 MSRP.
If you pair that with the classical Noctua brown shades, a rarity in the world of computer components that favor colors like black and red (with plenty of RGB), unfortunately the odds are that you’ll only see this card in these renders. That is, unless you’re willing to pay way above market share and possibly import this one from Vietnam, since the renders were posted by ASUS ROG Vietnam.
Still, it is a beautiful piece, isn’t it? Isn’t it? We’ve heard some people grumbling that it looks just like a regular card with some Noctua fans slapped in, but we kinda disagree.
The Asus X Noctua collab looks like an owl, so it’s a nice parallel to the companies’ logos. In terms of performance, we’re willing to bet it will be the most silent graphics card ever, since it uses the new Noctua NF-A12 fans.
Too bad the price on eBay and other resellers would make any wallet scream!
