If you keep misplacing your keys or wallet, these trackers can come to the rescue and show you the way.
After stealing the thunder from Apple and launching the smart trackers way before Apple’s AirTags, Samsung is back with even smarter trackers.
The Samsung SmartTag+ will launch on April 16 and bring new functionality – augmented reality.
The SmartTag+ have both UWB, which means they can use augmented reality to show you on your phone where to find the lost items, and Bluetooth Low Energy, which means they won’t drain the battery as fast.
Of course, you’ll also need an UWB-equipped phone, but most have the functionality these days.
You can also use the Samsung SmartTag+ the regular way, making it beep when you get closer to the lost item.
If you’re worried about your data privacy, Samsung also spent part of the press release reassuring you of the security of these SmartTags.
“All data in SmartThings Find is encrypted and protected, so the tag’s location isn’t revealed to anyone but you,” says the company.
The SmartTag+ is a bit more expensive than the regular SmartTag that debuted in January at $29.99, coming in at $39.99.
