Remember the Y-Brush and its promise to remove the hassle of brushing your teeth? Just chomp for a few seconds and voila!
Now, the Y-Brush 2nd gen is almost here and it will let you do even less, if that were possible.
The Y-Brush, a retainer-shaped device with nylon bristles, made you simply clamp your mouth shut over it to clean your teeth in just 10 seconds, then flip it over and do the same for the other half of your mouth.
Since that still seemed like effort, the follow-up 2nd Y-Brush has the bristles on both sides, so you don’t have to pull it out to flip it over.
It’s basically bite down, wait a few seconds, and you have clean teeth.
The polishing program also got a few nifty upgrades.
If the Y-Brush only came with one vibration mode, the Y-Brush 2 has six of them, including Whitening and Gum Care.
At CES 2022, what was shown is just a concept, so there’s no word on when exactly to expect this smart toothbrush.
We do know that the makers want to offer inductive charging and a companion app for personalized brushing styles.
