Need more time to cool down after you send a series of risky messages on WhatsApp?
The WhatsApp unsend feature now just got a lot more forgiving, after previously having a limit of exactly 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds to let you delete messages you sent.
Now, you can unsend WhatsApp messages for up to two days and 12 hours, letting you delete any inadverted rants or bad information you sent to someone.
Even WhatsApp winks at the idea of sending a string of messages to your ex with the tweet that announced a new way of deleting WhatsApp messages.
In total, you now have 60 hours to rethink your WhatsApp communications.
That’s plenty generous, considering that when the WhatsApp unsend feature was launched a few years back, you had just seven minutes to delete a WhatsApp message you sent to someone.
Of course, if you find it difficult to take back your words with time limits, you can always try Telegram, which lets you delete messages even years after the fact.
