Vivo just dazzled Indian smartphone users with its latest handset, V7+. It’s Vivo’s first phone with super slim bezels and a kick-ass front camera, made to capture awesome selfies #mobilemagic
V7+ is everything we’ve come to expect from a flagship this year: a handset with a gorgeous, 18:9 aspect ratio display (thin bezels, hooray!) and a top-notch camera module. While the rear camera has a 16MP sensor with f.20 aperture and PDAF, it’s nothing out of the ordinary. So, the real gem must be the front cam, right? Indeed, V7+ boasts a 24MP selfie shooter with LED flash and f2.0. It definitely puts the smartphone in the flagship league targeted towards celebrities, influencers and the majority of Instagrammers.
It’s also the first phone from Vivo to hit the Indian market with a Snapdragon 450 on board, the trimmed down version of Snapdragon 625. Another thing worth pointing out is that you’ll be able to unlock this one with Face Access, a name that’s basically code for face recognition software. Of course, the fingerprint sensor is still at the back of the device, if you choose to use that security measure.
V7+ runs Android 7.1 with a customized Funtouch operating system. In terms of storage and RAM, expect a 4GB +64GB combo, the latter being easily expandable with a microSD card. There’s a 3,225 mAh cell (it’s doesn’t offer jaw-dropping battery life by any means, but you won’t complain too much.
Vivo is selling the smartphone starting with September 15 for ₹21,990 ($344), in two color variants – Champagne Gold and Matte Black. That said, you can pre-order one from this day onward, in stores or from Flipkart.
