Watch: This “First Person’ Series Was Shot Entirely With Snapchat Spectacles

Thought the Snapchat Spectacles went away? Snapchat is still committed to the idea of glasses with cameras on them and just launched the first show shot on them.

Check out the trailer and find out below how to also get some awesome new AR lenses for Snapchat.

The series is obviously named ‘First Person’ and it’s the first original series to be shot entirely on Snap Spectacles – and the first documentary too!

‘First’ person was produced by Yusuf Omar, a journalist who claims he loves Snap Spectacles so much, he’s worn them every day of his life since 2016.

That’s commitment!

Yusuf Omar is also committed to helping in the fight against climate change. He sent the Spectacles to 6 countries to show how various activists try to enact positive change.

“The beauty of capturing POV Specs footage for a series like this is that we get to witness change makers actually getting their hands dirty and creating, upcycling, recycling and making the change they want to see,” he said.

He then told TechCrunch that “their physical actions, seeing both hands at work, through their vantage point make their actions relatable, interesting and immersive. When young audiences watch it, they think ‘I can probably do that too.’”

Each ‘First Person’ episode will come with an AR lens that presents climate change in an easy-to-see, simplified form – cracks on the floor, carbon dioxide clouds and so on.

Catch the first episode on Snapchat on Saturday, October 24.
