Who Needs The Countryside?! You Can Grow This Portable, No-Soil, Garden At Home

garden-tech-city

If you’ve envied your friends for their granthdparents’ countryside manor, their gardens, filled with vegetables and fruits, but had neither the inclination or the place to grow your own, we have you covered – better said, Japanese have you covered. They invented Foop, a hydroponic garden that you can grow at home, no farming skills required #objectmagic

Foop is the size of a double toaster oven, a sort of drawer for your greenery. It’s filled with sponge pods where you can drop the seeds of your choice and watch them grow in a period of time you set. Where? On the adjacent Foop app, where you can also change growing conditions, if you feel the pod is not doing wonders for your city garden.

Your smartphone will even give you a notice when your crops are good to go (in your pots and pans) – I know, I know, you’ll probably see them mature with your own eyes… but hey, you live in a smart world where notifications are constant.

Foop comes with LED lights, environmental regulation fans, a hand pump to aerate the water and CO2 sensors. Thankfully, it’s not in prototype phase, so you will be able to get one in September, at $360 if you catch the early bird.
