World’s Thinnest Phone Fits In a Card Holder

Kyocera

While the most recent trend in smartphones is ‘bigger is better‘, there are some companies out there who think that ‘thinner and smaller is even better‘. One of them is Kyocera, who manufactured the KY-O1L  – a phone that is so thin you can easily fit it into a card case.

Obviously, it’s debatable if this truly is the ‘world’s thinnest phone’, as Japanese mobile carrier NTT Docomo claims, but we do admit there’s not many other smartphones out there capable of fitting a place as small as a card holder case.

It’s 5.3mm thick and it weighs just 47g. There’s no camera or app store and it has a 2.8 inch monochrome e-paper screen. You do get a web browser with it, but I am not sure how easy it is to use it on such a small screen. But at least you can access your emails.

The phone has a 380mAh battery and offers LTE connectivity. You can watch it in action in the video below.
