They’re finally here! The Xiaomi 12 series will soon be available in Europe and the rest of the world, as Xiaomi just officially presented the global variants of their new flagship.

DisplayMate tested the screens and found that the 12 and 12 Pro set or matched 15 display records. Seven of those were rated “visually indistinguishable from perfect”.
Xiaomi 12 Display
“Based on our objective Lab Tests and Measurements the Xiaomi 12 Pro receives a DisplayMate Best Smartphone Display Award earning DisplayMate’s highest ever Display Performance Grade of A+,” says the company, an organization that sets the industry standard of excellence for image and picture quality.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro, with its 1,440 x 3,200 px display was the brightest of the series, reaching 980 nits at 100% average picture level and 1,541 at low average picture level.
The Xiaomi 12X, the more affordable model, also matched 14 display records.
The Xiaomi 12 series is promoted as having 68 billion colors on their display, which means they might be the first 12-bit panels on smartphones yet, and the fact that they were Dolby Vision-certified supports that.
