In less than one month, you’ll be able to upgrade your TV in a big, big way. Yamaha is set to release in July their first sound bar with DTS Virtual:X technology, a match made in heaven that will fill up your living room with crystal clear sound #objectmagic
Yamaha YAS-207 is a slim sound bar that comes with a wireless, rectangular subwoofer. You can put it anywhere in the room and it will deliver all that bass, engulfing you in the movie experience. Yamaha says it’s the first product to feature the latest technology from DTS, Virtual:X. As you can imagine, we’re talking about an audio technology with the power to simulate “sound effects that move around and even above the listener.”
YAS-207 includes a HDMI port, supports 4K HDR, Bluetooth streaming and it can be controlled with a remote or from a smartphone app. The idea is to easily adjust the subwoofer level so it won’t bring the neighbors at your door, but still offer you the realistic audio experience you seek. It also offers Clear Voice processing, making even whispers very easy to understand.
While the sound bar and subwoofer will be available in the United States this July at the price of $300, DTS’ Virtual:X will come as a firmware update one month later.
