Motorola has finally unveiled the new Moto G7 series during an event that took place in Brazil on Thursday and, judging by the specs, there’s one for every taste and fit for every wallet.
The first smartphone in the line that we’re going to introduce is the Moto G7, which arrives with a 6.24-inch full HD+ (1080×2270 pixels) Max Vision display and 3D Gorilla Glass on both the front and the back.
It has 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage and a microSD card that can raise that number to 128GB.
Camera-wise, the device has a dual-camera setup on the back with a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary one. The selfie snapper is an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens.
Under the hood, we’ll find a 3,000mAh battery and an octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC.
It will come with a $299 price tag.
The Moto G7 Plus on the other hand, features the same 6.24 inch full-HD+ (1080×2270 pixels) Max Vision screen as the G7 but has 64GB of storage that can be expanded via microSD to up to 512GB. It also packs a Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery.
It has the same dual camera setup on the back as the G7 but the specs are different: a 16MP primary sensor with a 5MP secondary. This setup also supports optical image stabilization. On the front, you’ll find a 12MP camera that offers group selfie and slow motion video modes.
This device will only be available in select markets for 299 Euro ($340), making it the most expensive one in the series.
The Moto G7 Power is the third in line, with a smaller screen than its siblings: a 6.2 inch that only packs an HD+ (720×1520 pixels) resolution. It has 32GB of storage with 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 632 SoC.
The cameras are also pretty basic: a 12MP single camera on the back and an 8MP one on the front.
What makes this device stand out from the series is the fact that it packs a massive 5,000mAh battery. Motorola claims that it will last for no less than 55 hours.
For this model, you’ll have to make your wallet $249 lighter.
At last, we have what we can call the ‘little brother’ in the series – the G7 Play, which will also be the cheapest model in the line: only $199.
With a smaller Max Vision screen that measures 5.7 inches with an HD+ (720×1512 pixels) resolution, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 632 with 2GB RAM. It has 32GB of storage that can be brought up to 128GB thanks to the microSD card slot, as well as a 3,000mAh battery.
The G7 Play has one 13MP shooter on the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front.
The new line is already on sale as of today in Brazil and Mexico. The G7, G7 Power and the G7 Play are expected to reach the European shelves in the next couple of weeks, while the U.S will get them later this spring.
