Asus fans have now a reason to smile, or at least raise their brow at the new Asus ZenFone 6, which is now available for purchase in the US.
The new phone has a starting price of $499.99 and it is pretty interesting. What makes it so special? Well, the ZenFone 6 features a camera that flips up from the back of the phone, which is at the same time its front-facing camera.
The main camera integrates 48-megapixels and 13-megapixel wide-angle lens, into a 6.4-inch display.
In terms of capabilities, the camera can capture panoramas by rotating on its own, also featuring motion-tracking mode.
According to the manufacturer, the camera is pretty resilient as is made of liquid metal, integrating a sensor which protects the camera by returning it to a safe position in case you drop it. A similar rotating mechanism can also be found on Samsung’s Galaxy A80.
In terms of availability, the ZenFone 6 can be purchased in two color variants, which is Twilight Silver or Midnight Black.
Among the most significant specs of the dual SIM phone, there is the Snapdragon 855 processor, the 5,000 mAh battery, a microSD slot with up to 2TB of additional storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack. The not so exciting part is the fact that you won’t be able to wireless charge it, besides not being water-resistant. Therefore, you are theoretically safe if you drop it, only not in the water.
But we can pretty much overcome these lows, as the phone comes at a very good price and offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
You can get your ZenFone 6 from the Asus Store, Amazon, B&H, and Mobile Advance.
