A number of companies have taken advantage of the Mobile World Congress to unveil or talk about their foldable phones. And we’re expecting a few more surprises to pop up by the time MWC Barcelona is done.
It’s widely accepted now that 2019 will undoubtedly be the year of the foldable and Energizer was quick to follow in with the times by announcing its very own: the Power Max 8100S.
The phone has a dual rear camera with an 48MP main sensor and a 12MP secondary while the front features a 24MP selfie camera. All the cameras are are housed on one side of the device – there’s none on the ‘inside’ of the phone.
Under the hood we’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The handset comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Unfortunately, the phone has so far only been showcased from behind a glass case, so no one was actually able to see how it runs and how snappy the apps are.
In addition to that, we can only speculate about the inside screen, as only the back and the normal screen of the device were showcased but we’ll probably see it in action pretty soon.
Aside from that, while Energizer delivered the mammoth Power Max 18K Pop with a 18,000mAh battery, the Power Max 8100S was spared the size and packs in ‘only‘ 10,000mAh; so, is Energizer living up to its name? Most definitely.
