Reputable Android news site XDA-Developers got to talking with an unnamed source and reported some great news for those wanting a more affordable foldable phone.
The unnamed source told the outlet that the upcoming Motorola Razr foldable phone will use the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and come with either 4GB of RAM.
Seeing as how most flagships we’ve seen lately come with the Snapdragon 855 and at least 6 GB of RAM, the foldable Razr is decidedly underwhelming in terms of processing power.
That, of course, will be reflected in the price.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Motorola foldable phone will retail for $1500.
It’s still spicy but nowhere near the Samsung Galaxy Fold $2000 price tag or Huawei Mate X‘s $2500 one.
In any case, nothing was confirmed yet.
Motorola is expected to launch the Razr foldable phone sometime this summer, so we’ll probably hear something concrete in the following months.
