Those in the search for a compact camera that also brings a long-zoom lens will definitely fall in love with the new Leica C-Lux. However, they should also expect to pay a premium for this one!
The new Leica C-Lux retails for $1,050 and comes in some sleek color options: Midnight Blue and the flashy Light Gold. #fotomagic
Behind the design, there’s a 1-inch CMOS sensor with a 20 MP resolution, capable of 10 FPS burst shooting and 15-minute in length 4K video recording at 30 FPS (60 FPS for 1080p video). Housed in the metal body you’ll find a Leica DC Vario-Elmar 8.8–132 mm f/3.3-6.4 ASPH lens.
The integrated electronic viewfinder has a 2.330K-dot resolution and 0.54x magnification, while the 3-inch touchscreen display brings a 1.240K-dot resolution.
On the connectivity front, there’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 that will let you pair this compact camera with the Leica C-Lux smartphone app, through which you can control the main functions.
The Leica C-Lux will be available in July alongside a few vintage-looking leather cases and accessories.
