The 2019 version of Motorola Razr hit the market in February 2020, and unfortunately, it failed to deliver the promised performance. The handset was not that well-received on the clamshell foldable smartphone market, so the manufacturer wants to offer a second, and better version of the Moto Razr smartphone.
Just recently, the company confirmed the new and improved version of the foldable phone, through a short teaser revealing the date September 9.
The expected Razr 2 or Razr 5G model, could also benefit from some design improvements, to make up for the problems caused by the previous model which was quite fragile, facing hinge and folding screen issues around the launch. These issues could be solved by using better materials and moving parts.
Most likely, the new Moto Razr 2 will feature 5G connectivity and noticeable improvements in the hardware department. It seems like the phone will run on the Qualcomm’s midrange SoC, the Snapdragon 765, Also, the handset could be upgraded to a 2,845mAh battery, while the front-facing camera will be upgraded to 20 MP over 5 MP on last year’s Moto Razr.
With all these improvements, we can expect the Moto Razr 2 to be quite pricey, not to mention that last year’s Moto Razr’s price was $1,499.
