Catch’em All with Nintendo’s New Poke Ball Plus Controller

If you thought the Pokemon Go mania ended, think again! Nintendo just announced the Poke Ball Plus, a fully functional gamepad with 3 hours of battery life.

A Bluetooth game controller with a joystick with a LED light in the center, the Poke Ball Plus comes with a handy strap for attaching it at the wrist. It’s designed to work with the upcoming Nintendo Switch AAA game, Pokemon Let’s Go. For added realism, the strap allows you to actually throw the Poke Ball to catch Pokemon. There’s also a built-in speaker to let you hear the captured Pokemon inside.

Vibrating motors and flashing lights complete the Poke Ball Plus, not to mention the fact that it will also come with the legendary Mew Pokemon.

All of this will cost $50 on its own or $100 for the version that comes with the Pokemon Let’s Go game. The launch is set for November 16 – just in time for the holiday season, so you have another weapon for your Secret Santa.
