3DDoodler is the company that vaulted 3D printing and 3D printing pens into popularity.
Now, they’re back with an even better printing pen, the 3Doodler Pro+, probably the most advanced on the market.
Unlike other 3D printing pens that “draw on air” using plastics, 3Doodler Pro+ lets you use even more materials, including metal.
The 3Doodler Pro+ has a dual drive system that 3D prints bronze, copper, nylon and wood, plus the usual plastics.
This makes it a great tool, not just a toy, and will probably come in handy for repairs around the house – not to mention jobs in architecture or design.
The 3Doodler Pro+ has a magnetic underside which lets you easily access the internals to troubleshoot.
It also allows you to print for a lot longer. The Pro+ extrudes material for 30 minutes continuously and has a 2 minute cooldown period, while other 3DDoodlers can only go for 10 minutes before needing a 2 minute break.
Of course, more features means a higher price tag.
The 3Doodler Pro+ is now available for $250, more triple the price of the regular 3DDooler Create+ Essentials. Still, none of those can use metal or wood to print, something that unlocks a lot more creative possibilities.
