As much as we’d love to take a five minute break every hour and move that body, we tend to lose track of time in front of the computer. It’s easier to move from one phone to another, pick up papers and even give advice to colleagues sitting on a swivel chair. Yes, you might bump into a desk or person from time to time, but those are the risks of a job. Well, Nissan begs to differ as it introduces the intelligent parking chair.
Inspired by their self-parking car technology, Nissan built a lean, classic meeting room chair that behaves like a car. At your command, it can move forward and backward, turn 360 degrees and locate a destination with the help of four cameras. These are placed in the room where the chairs are and generate a view that takes into account the chair’s position and route to destination.
Those are the good news. Before you start asking for a price, here’s the bad news: they’re not available for public consumption. The chairs purely serve promotional purposes for Nissan parking assist technology.
