Facebook / Meta Announces Physical Retail Store To Better Explain the Metaverse

According to the “formerly-known as Facebook but now called Meta” company, the future is definitely digital and called a metaverse.

However, ironically, Meta wants to explain the metaverse and convince people to join it by having a brick and mortar retail store.

According to Mark Zuckerberg’s company, the “Meta Store” is a place to get a “hands-on” experience with products like the Quest VR Headset, the Ray-Ban Stories and Portal devices.

Basically, the Meta Store opened in Burlingame, California near the Meta Reality Labs HQ, will be the place where you go to try on hardware owned by Facebook/Meta.

“Ultimately, our goal with the Meta Store is to show people what’s possible with our products today, while giving a glimpse into the future as the metaverse comes to life — and hopefully demystifying that concept a bit in the process,” says the company on their website.
