Motorola introduced a new Motorola One smartphone that, at first glance, seems to be a budget OnePlus 7 Pro.
That impression goes beyond the fact that both devices share a “One” in the title, it’s mostly because the Motorola One has a pop-up selfie camera.
But let’s see what it offers.
The Motorola One Hyper retails for $400 and, at that low price point, has plenty to offer.
It sports a generous 6.5-inch, 2340 x 1080 px display and, thanks to the pop-up selfie camera, manages a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
However, while there’s no unsightly notch breaking up screen real estate, you can see in the renders that the bottom bezel is a bit chunky.
Under the hood, there’s a respectable line-up for a midrange device: a Snapdragon 675 processor is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
All of it is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery, which makes sense for such a large screen, but Motorola promises that battery can go the extra mile: 38 hours of continuous use on a single charge.
The pop-up selfie camera is a 32 MP sensor, while the dual rear setup combines a 64 MP sensor with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens.
The Motorola One Hyper is already available on Motorola.com as a GSM unlocked device so, if you were looking for a phone this Christmas, you have something on your list.
It’s definitely cheaper than the folding Motorola!
