Super Mario 3D All-Stars Set To Release September 18th

After much wait and speculation, the rumors have finally been confirmed: Super Mario 3D All-Stars will be coming to Switch owners this year!

Announced as part of a Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct, Super Mario 3D All-Stars will bring three beloved 3D Mario platformers to the Switch. The collection has Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, but not Super Mario Galaxy 2.

In addition to porting over these classic titles, they have been enhanced and optimized for the Switch. Each game will be in higher resolution than the original and be fitted for the system’s 16:9 dimensions. There will also be a music player to play songs from all three titles.

While it is a pity the game won’t consist of all four 3D titles (not including Odyssey), the three games included are absolute classics and many haven’t seen ports to new consoles in a while. Sunshine, after all, hasn’t left its original console, the GameCube.

Huge titles for Nintendo often have several months of promotion between announcement and release. However, eager fans won’t have to wait too long. Super Mario 3D All-Stars will be releasing on September 18th. However, the game will be limited run and will only be available until the end of March 2021. Digital pre-orders are available now and physicals are coming soon.
