The new Moto E5 Play and E5 Plus were announced back in April and already they have a smaller sibling. Motorola just debuted a new, Android Oreo Go edition of the Moto E5 Play. Those looking for a well-optimized budget smartphone will find it a good choice.
It sports a modest 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a Snapdragon 425 processor. The screen is also an unassuming 480p 5.3-inch offering, but on the bright side, it does feature an 18:9 aspect ratio. Fortunately, the E5 Play Android Go edition retains the fingerprint scanner, so this basic smartphone does have some premium features as well.
Right now, the handset is only available in the UK at £69 for the pre-pay option and £89 for SIM-only, a price similar to the one fetched by the US E5 Play. It will soon be launched in the rest of Europe and Latin America.
